DarInvercargill Estuary

We have lived in the South most of our lives and have loads of regional knowledge and experience

If you need help planning your travel and activities to Stewart Island or Fiordland we can help as I have lived on Stewart Island still have many connections there; and Daryl travels to Te Anau five days a week working full time as a Courier and knows all the locals and best things to do and see in Fiordland

We are totally sports-crazy and are avid fans of Basketball, Netball, Rugby, Cricket, and Softball,Track Cycling. We regularly host teams, individual athletes and officials

As proud supporters of the Southland Sharks, and seasons ticket holders we provide accommodation for our Sharks and other teams in our national league. We have enjoyed supporting current and former Sharks players while they play in the Australian NBL league too

Daryl was born and raised in Invercargill and has lived and worked in various towns in Southland and is well known in Te Anau. Recently Daryl retired from playing Major League Softball for Demons Softball Club. He is now a keen golfer, and has Managed the Southland Sharks Basketball team for the past two seasons

I was born up north in Putaruru, and moved to Invercargill with my Family in the 70s! Having lived and worked in Bluff, Invercargill, Otautau, Queenstown, Winton, & Stewart Island I have massive local knowledge and know what Southland is about

Coaching is my passion and I coach representative netball for Te Wai Pounamu (South Island Maori teams) and the Invercargill Netball Centre, as on Saturdays for my Club Waimatua of which I am President.

I also coach softball for Panthers Softball Club and am a player/coach and while providing support to the Panthers Club as a Vice President.

Having worked for the Southland Softball Association and Southland Rugby League I have insight into the needs of teams and the team environment and the needs of officials, families and friends of traveling athletes.

We have looked after everyone here from World Shearing Champions, NZ Olympians, Australian Boomers, Tour of Southland Teams, and  National Coaches / Development Officers /High performance Coaches / NZ level and international officials to very supportive mums / dads / grandparents and other supporters

We love nothing more than helping our guest choose other places in Southland to visit especially Bluff, Stewart Island and Fiordland so come stay with us. Book today!
